Baked Limas In Chili Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. Dry lima beans
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 c. Chili sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Melted butter or possibly fat
- 1 x Bay leaf
Directions
- Soak the beans overnight in water to cover. Drain. Add in fresh water to cover, and bring to a boil. Add in the salt and sugar. Cook over low heat 1 1/2 hrs. Drain.
- Combine the beans, chili sauce, butter or possibly fat and bay leaf in a baking dish. Bake in a 350 degree oven 1 hour. Remove bay leaf.
- Serves 6.
