Baked Bean Stackup

I listed this as pork & beans on a bun, but I just remembered what it used to be called. Hey, I'm old & my memory sometimes lags behind real time. This is from my childhood. It is surprisingly tasty, and a real kid-pleaser. It's simply canned pork & beans, bacon & cheese on a hamburger bun, and broiled till cheese melts. Served open face. Because of the name, it was probably originally done with baked beans, but my mom always preferred pork & beans.Maybe it's better with baked beans. Anyway, it tastes better than it sounds, but probably falls short in nutrition. Serving size is 2 per person.
All of the prep time is cooking the bacon, because all other prep can be done while bacon is cooking.
