    Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers

    Ingredients

    • 15 fresh jalapeno peppers
    • 1 block Muenster cheese
    • 1 lb. bulk Italian Sausage
    • 2 lb. bacon

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    2. In a frying pan partially cook bacon on medium high heat to render some of the fat. Do not brown.
    3. In a pot, boil 4 cups water.
    4. Cut jalapenos in half lengthwise, leaving the stem on one half.
    5. Remove seeds and ribs.
    6. Boil for 1 minute.
    7. Cool by dropping pepper halves into a pot of ice water.
    8. Dry pepper halves on some paper towels.
    9. Cut a piece of Muenster cheese small enough to fit into each pepper half.
    10. Cover the cheese with Italian sausage.
    11. Wrap each half with a slice of bacon.
    12. Secure with a toothpick through each end.
    13. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
    14. Serve hot
