    • 1/2 lb Butter, NOT margarine
    • 5 1/2 Tbsp. Confectioner's sugar
    • 1 1/4 c. All-purpose flour
    • 1/2 c. Cornstarch
    • 1/2 tsp Almond extract
    • 1 c. Powdered sugar
    • 1 Tbsp. Butter, melted
    • 2 Tbsp. Lemon juice
    • 1/2 tsp Lemon zest


    1. COOKIES Cream butter and sugar well. Sift in flour and cornstarch and mix together. Add in flavoring; refrigerateovernight. Shape into balls about the size of walnuts and place on a greased baking sheet. Flatten the balls with bottom of a small glass that has been dampened. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 min. Don't brown cookies.
    2. Makes 24 cookies.
    3. LEMON GLAZE Beat all ingredients together. While the cookies are still hot, gently remove from cookie sheet and spread with the glaze.
