Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1 c. minced dates
  • 2 Tbsp. White Karo Syrup
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Fold in heavy sauce pan the first 4 ingredients. Cook till soft ball stage. Add in the nuts and vanilla and mix well.
  2. Coll at room temperature. Do not stir till lukewarm. Beat till candy holds shape. Turn out on greased platter and work with hands soft and creamy. Shape in roll and roll in wax paper. Let stand till hard . Slice.
