Asian Plum Sauce Marinade
Ingredients
- 2/3 c. Plum sauce - Or possibly Duck sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Dry Sherry
- 1 tsp Oriental Sesame sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Peanut oil Asian or possibly domestic cool pressed
- 2 x Clove garlic chopped or possibly pressed
- 1/4 c. Fresh Cilantro leaves minced
- 1/2 tsp Dry red chili pepper crushed
- 2 tsp Hoisin sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Soy sauce - low sodium
- 1 Tbsp. Ginger root - grated
Directions
- Combine the plum sauce, hoisin, sherry and soy sauce in a nonreactive mixing bowl. Whisk in the oils a little at a time. Add in the ginger, garlic, cilantro and chili pepper.
- Makes 2 c.. Recommended cuts: Chicken Breasts
- (4 to 6 hrs) Chicken Wings (6 to 8 hrs) Spare Ribs (8 hrs to overnight)
