This delicious apple dutch baby pancake is one your family will love!
This easy breakfast treat is perfect to enjoy with family and friends. Makes one large apple dutch baby pancake! Top with powdered sugar and syrup and dig in. Dutch baby pancakes are really easy to make and a super versatile. My family just loves these.
Apple Dutch Baby Pancake with Walnuts
2 Gala Apples, peeled and chopped2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/4th cup of brown sugar
4 tablespoons of butter
4 eggs
1 cup of flour
1 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 cup of walnuts
powdered sugar for dusting
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In 10 inch cast iron skillet on top of stove, add 4 tablespoons of butter, apples, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar. Cook until apples are soft. Took about 8-10 minutes on medium heat. In separate bowl, combine flour and eggs and mix with a spoon until smooth, then add milk and vanilla until fully mixed.
Pour mixture over apples and cook in oven for 20-25 minutes until a fork inserted in center comes out clean. This pancake will fluff up in the oven, but will come down once removed. Dust with more cinnamon and powdered sugar, cut into slices and serve. The bottom will be nice and gooey and the top a pancake. Print Recipe Apple Dutch Baby Pancake
