Apple Snacking Cake
Ingredients
- 1/4 c. margarine softened
- 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. Egg Beaters Healthy Real Egg Substitute
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1/2 c. skim lowfat milk
- 1 x unpeeled medium apple sliced Crumb topping recipe follows Powdered sugar glaze optional
Directions
- Blend margarine and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed till creamy. Blend in egg substitute till smooth.
- Mix flour and baking pwdr; blend into creamed mix at low speed alternately with lowfat milk. Spread batter into greased 9-inch round baking pan. Top with a single ring of apples overlapping slightly. Top with Crumb Topping.
- Bake at 375i F for 30 to 35 min. Cold slightly in pan on wire rack. Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze if you like. Serve hot.
- CRUMB TOPPING: Combine 1/4 c. flour, 2 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar, 1 tsp. grnd cinnamon and 1 Tbsp. margarine till crumbly.
