Ingredients

  • One red delicious apple
  • handful of brown sugar (about 1/3 cup)
  • sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons of Nutella
  • One package of crescent rolls

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Peel apples, cut in half and core. Stuff each half with a tablespoon of Nutella. Roll out crescent rolls and place one half of the apple Nutella side down onto the crescent dough. Take the access crescent dough and wrap it around the top of the apple. I used two crescents rolls per half apple. Once it's tightly wrapped, put seam side down into a shallow baking dish. Repeat this step for second half of the apple. Brush on the two tablespoons of melted butter on each apple. Sprinkle b. sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon on top of the dumplings. Add about 4 tablespoons of water to the bottom of the baking dish. Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes or until light golden brown.
