    Ingredients

    • Vegetable oil cooking spray
    • 1 Tbsp. cornmeal
    • 10 ounce refrigerated pizza dough 1 pkg
    • 4 x Golden brown Delicious apples 1-1/2 lbs peeled halved and cored
    • 1/4 c. sugar granulated
    • 3/4 tsp grnd cinnamon
    • 1/4 c. apricot preserves preferably all-fruit and sugar-free
    • 1 Tbsp. orange liqueur Or possibly apple juice

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375F. Spray a 14-in.-round pizza pan or possibly large baking sheet with oil and sprinkle with cornmeal.
    2. Roll out pizza dough to a 14-in. circle on a lightly floured surface with a lightly floured rolling pin. Transfer to the prepared pan.
    3. Cut apples into thin slices (1/4 in. to 1/2 in.). Starting at the outer edge and working toward the center, arrange the slices on pizza dough, overlapping slightly in smaller and smaller circles till the surface is covered. The apple layer should be at least as thick as the crust.
    4. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle mix proportionately over apples and bake about 30 min, or possibly till crust is golden.
    5. Meanwhile, combine preserves and liqueur in a small saucepan and cook over low heat, till preserves dissolve.
    6. To serve, remove the pizza from the oven, brush with hot apricot glaze and cut into wedges.
    7. Notes: Pizza dough contains a lot less fat than a buttery pastry - this twist on an apple tart contains just one gram of fat per serving.
