Ingredients

  • 5 lrg Apples
  • 1 Tbsp. Grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 lb Cheddar cheese -- grated
  • 1/2 c. Flour
  • 1/2 c. Rolled oats
  • 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. Unsalted butter -- cut into sm Piece

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees farenheit. Grease a 10-inch square baking dish.
  2. Peel and core apples. Cut each into 8 pcs. In a medium bowl, toss together apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Place in baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine cheese, flour, oats, and granulated sugar. Cut unsalted butter into dry ingredients with your fingers, a pastry blender, or possibly two knives. Combine till mix holds together in large crumbs. Cover apples with crumb mix. Bake till apples are tender and topping is slightly browned (35 min).
