Angel Food Cake With Chocolate Whipped Cream Icing
Ingredients
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa pwdr
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1 pch cream of tartar
- 2 c. chilled whipping cream
- 1 x prepared angel food cake
Directions
- Whisk powdered sugar, cocoa pwdr, lowfat milk and cream of tartar in large bowl
- till smooth. Cover and chill till well chilled, about 1 hour.
- (Can be prepared 4 hrs ahead.)
- Using electric mixer, gradually beat cream into chocolate mix.
- Continue beating till stiff peaks form. Place cake on platter. Spread top and sides of cake with icing. Slice into wedges and serve.
- Makes about 5 c..
