  • Almond Joy Chocolate Pie

    Ingredients

    • 36 x Almond Joy Miniature Candies
    • 3/4 c. Graham cracker crumbs
    • 1/2 c. Sugar
    • 1/3 c. Cornstarch
    • 1/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
    • 1/4 tsp Salt
    • 1 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
    • 1 tsp Vanilla Whipped topping (opt)

    Directions

    1. CRUST:Preheat the oven to 325 . Lightly butter a 9" pie plate.
    2. Place 20 of the candies and the graham cracker crumbs in a food processor. Process till mix is thoroughly blended. Press onto bottom & up the sides of a prepared pie plate. Bake for 10 min. Allow to cold completely on a rack.
    3. FILLING:In a medium saucepan, stir together sugar, starch, cocoa & salt. Blend in the lowfat milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wire whisk, till it boils. Boil and stir for 1 minute. (Mix will be very thick.) Remove from heat; blend in vanilla. Add in the remaining 16 candy pcs and stir till melted.
    4. Pour into prepared crust; press plastic wrap onto surface. Chill. Top with sweetened whipped cream, if you like.
    5. Servings: 6 - 8
