Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup uncooked oats
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
  • Powdered sugar for rolling cookies in

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 325 F
  2. Beat the butter and almond extract until fluffy
  3. Gradually beat in the sugar
  4. Add the flour and salt
  5. Mix well
  6. Stir in the oats and almonds
  7. Shape to form crescents
  8. Place on ungreased cookie sheets
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until light golden brown
  10. Roll the warm cookies in the powdered sugar
