Allethea Wall's Brown Sugar Banana Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brown sugar,light
  • 1 c. White sugar
  • 1 lb Butter
  • 5 x Large eggs
  • 2 x Bananas,large,mashed
  • 3 c. Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 c. Pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 35'F.
  2. Cream brown and white sugars with butter till very light and fluffy.
  3. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in mashed bananas.
  4. Sift flour with baking pwdr and salt. Mix lowfat milk and vanilla together.
  5. Add in each to first mix alternately. Stir in the pecans. Pour into a 10" well-greased tube pan. Bake in preheated oven for 1-1/2 hrs, or possibly till hard.
  6. Place upside down on a cake rack; when cold, invert and turn out onto rack.
