  • A Delicious Sour Cream Pound Cake

    Ingredients

    • 1 pkg. Duncan Hines butter cake mix
    • 1 c. (8 ounce) dairy lowfat sour cream
    • 1/3 c. Crisco oil
    • 1/4 c. sugar
    • 1/4 c. water
    • 4 large eggs
    • 2 T reserved cake mix
    • 2 T brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1 c. finely minced pecans

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.Put together filling ingredients and set aside.
    2. In a large bowl blend cake mix, lowfat sour cream, oil, 1/4 cup sugar, water and large eggs. Beat at high speed for 2 min, pour 2/3 of the batter in a greased and lightly floured 10 inch tube or possibly bundt pan.
    3. Sprinkle filling ingredients over batter in pan.
    4. Spread remaining batter evenly over filling mix.
    5. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-55 min till cake springs back when touched lightly. Cool right side up for about 25 min, then remove from pan.
    6. Glaze: Blend 1 cup of confectioners' sugar and 2 tbsp lowfat milk. Drizzle over cake.
