Ingredients

  • 1 med Onion, minced
  • 2 cl Garlic, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter, melted
  • 1 lrg Can whole tomatos (14 1/2oz
  • 8 ounce Tomato paste
  • 1/2 c. Celery, minced
  • 1/3 c. Vinegar
  • 1/4 c. Green pepper, minced
  • 2 x Fresh celery leaves, minced
  • 1 x Bay leaf
  • 3 Tbsp. Molasses
  • 11/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Dry mustard
  • 2 tsp Tabasco sauce, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Clove, grnd
  • 1/2 tsp Allspice, grnd
  • 2 slc Lemon

Directions

  1. Saute/fry onion and garlic in butter in a saucepan till tender. stir in remaining ingredients; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 30 min; stir occasionally. Throw away bay leaf and lemon slices. Process through a food processer if you like. Use sauce for basting and as a side dish for dipping.
