Cooking Influences
My Grandmother, to start with when I was 10 or 11..... What she could do with dough and flour, in her little tiny pantry/kitchen, and then shape and toss into hot oil, and shake in a bag with sugar and cinnamon was magical, absolutely magical. And she did it every time I came to visit. Ice cold milk and hot sugared home made doughnuts at Grandma Patterson's house. West Brookfield, Massachusetts, circa 1964
