About me

I love to cook. I grew up cooking with my mother and Nanny (grandmother). Holidays and Sunday dinners were filled with love and great food. My Nanny was of Scottish/Irish decent so Ham and floury potatoes were a staple. We also had an Italian neighbor who was the best cook and baker I have ever met. We still use some of her recipes. I love to make soups and bake. I make soup once a week. Standard soups that you know and I create my own most times. When we cook my Mom and I will look over lots of recipes and then tweak them and create our own. Most times they turn out fabulous, once in a while we get a not so good one. But thats the fun of creating good food! I hope can find the time to post some of my favorites it will be fun to see if other people enjoy them as much as we do. I can't post my favorite cookbooks I love them all! I have probably 100 or more they are my weakness, so I would say read them all!
