This is a nice way to bake chicken. I use it for 12 drumsticks but you could use it for 18-20 wings, 10-12 thighs or even just chicken breasts. Original recipe says to salt and pepper the chicken before you add the sauce but I don't salt it because the soy sauce has plenty of salt. So season it how ever you like. I heat the honey in the microwave before mixing the sauce, warming it helps to mix the ingredients together. Using wings makes a great appetizer or party food. I sometimes add a little fresh grated ginger to the sauce to change it up a little. My son likes them hot and cold the next day.

    Ingredients

    • 12 chicken drumsticks
    • salt and pepper
    • 2 tbsp veg or canola oil
    • 2 tbsp ketchup
    • 1/2 cup soy sauce
    • 1 cup honey
    • 2-3 cloves garlic minced

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375
    2. Spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray
    3. Place rinsed chicken in the pan and salt and pepper.
    4. In a med bowl combine oil, ketchup, soy, honey and garlic whisk till mixed and pour over the chicken.
    5. Toss the chicken around and arrange skin side down, Bake for 30 mins.
    6. Remove from oven and turn chicken over baste w glaze and Bake for another 30 mins.
    7. At this point I sometimes turn again and bake another 10-15 mins to caramelize it, unless it's looking good after an hour.
