  • Country Ham And Apple Slaw Sandwich With Baby Swiss And Bourbon Mustard

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb thinly sliced Smithfield ham
    • 8 slc baby Swiss cheese
    • 16 slc pumpernickel
    • 1 x recipe bourbon mustard
    • 1 x recipe apple slaw
    • 2 c. thinly sliced cabbage
    • 1/2 x thinly sliced red onion
    • 1 x juliened apple, core and seeds removed
    • 1 Tbsp. minced pickled jalapeno
    • 1/4 c. golden brown raisins
    • 1/4 c. toasted slivered almonds
    • 1 Tbsp. minced mint
    • 1 Tbsp. honey
    • 1/2 c. mayonnaise Salt and white pepper In a medium mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients except the salt and white pepper. Mix thoroughly and season with salt and white pepper.
    • 3/4 c. Creole mustard
    • 2 Tbsp. Steen's 100% Cane Syrup
    • 1 Tbsp. honey
    • 2 Tbsp. bourbon

    Directions

    1. Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl and mix well.
    2. Spread 8 slices of the bread with the bourbon mustard. Next place a slice of cheese followed by 2 ounces of the shaved ham. Finish the sandwich with 1/4 c. of the slaw and another slice of the bread.
