    Baked Chicken and Rice is a delicious quick and easy recipe for any day of the week. Simple ingredients of chicken breasts, canned mushroom soup, white rice and seasonings all done in one dish and baked for (1) hour. Only (5) minutes of prep time makes this a perfect recipe for the busy family.     Ingredients

    • 1 (10.75 oz can) condensed 98% fat-free cream of mushroom soup
    • 1 cup water
    • 3/4 cup uncooked long grain white rice
    • 1/4 tsp paprika
    • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
    • 5 (4 to 5 oz) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves*
    • (about 1 lb total weight)

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
    2. Stir the soup, water, rice, paprika and black pepper into a 2 quart size shallow baking dish. Top with the chicken. Season with additional paprika and black pepper if desired. Cover the baking dish.
    3. Bake for 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the rice is tender. Let stand for 10 minutes. Stir the rice before serving. Suggestion: Add your favorite vegetable to round out the meal if desired.
